Planning Your Trip

Toilet

Please be aware we use a waterless/composting toilet. With this system, there is no flushing water and wood-shavings are simply added to the solid waste. Due to the modern and effective design, there are no odours. We realise this might be an important detail for some.

Sheets and Linen

To increase sanitary standards and reduce maintenance, sheets and linen are BYO.

You will require your own towel and sheets to fit:

  • Queen bed mattress
  • Queen bed quilt
  • Standard pillows
  • (Optional)
    • Queen sofa bed
    • Queen bed quilt for sofa bed
    • Standard pillows

Fire

The indoor wood-fire oven is safe to self-extinguish if closed securely.

As mentioned in planning supplies, please BYO firewood.

The whole property is 100 acres of sloping land and is only fenced for about ⅓ of it. The cabin is located at the north western section and Riley’s Road runs eastern and downhill.

On the map you'll see that Riley's road goes down and then turns  north, to a creek where there is a wombat burrow across the other side. But Rileys road also goes east, where you'll go further downhill and see the creek turn into a cascading set of small waterfalls!

Though I need to continue exploring myself and plot a safe path to see the big waterfall below.

If you decide to hike down to the creek, just remember it's a steep hike back up!

I prefer to drive down personally!

Drive down and have a swim at the Coxs River Campground

One guest did fresh river trout fishing!

Hike the river to the Coxs River Suspension Bridge (have a swim too)
